Up for sale is a NICE Sony DVP-CX995V DVD/CD 400 disc player. This is the HDMI model!! This was the flagship of the Sony line of carousel DVD/CD players when introduced. This unit is also unusual in that it plays not only DVD (not Blu Ray) and CDs but also SACD (Super Audio CDs) and 5.1 DTS surround sound audio discs. This unit has been serviced (see below) and tested with all of these formats and works perfectly with all of them. This unit is in EXCELLENT cosmetic condition and Excellent operational condition. Cosmetically the unit shows very few signs of wear. There aresome small marks on the top edges and the typical signs of wear. Otherwise it is extremely nice. Please look carefully at all pictures and judge the condition of the unit for yourself. I have serviced this unit. It has had NEW BELTS installed, all mechanicals lubricated and optics cleaned. Sony DVP-CX995V DVD Player. Comes with remote and a/v cables. It is also daisy chainable. It has ports for hdmi, digital optical cables, and might even throw in a keyboard. Some that people may or may not know is that some DVDs are texted, and some are not. This means that if its not, then you at least have the ability to manually enter DVD titles, hence the keyboard. Lower left hand corner, you can see KB input.

SONY DVP-CX995V 400 Disc Carousel player ,CD/DVD.Please note, SONY created a firmware update in 2007 that resolves an issue where certain televisions that support the new xvYCC color feature (x.v.Color™), may show no video and/or play no audio when connected to the DVD player using HDMI™ connections. This unit DOES playback audio CD's via RCA cables (watch video) but has not been updated with the formware to play CD's or DVD's audio via HDMI Cable. The firmware update is readily available online and I included a screenshot of the link, but....The OEM Remote RM-ASP001 is required to complete the firmware update. FYI the Sony Remote RMT-D175A that sellers list as compatible will NOT Work for the update, this is why EVERY OEM Remote RM-ASP001 sells for $75 or more!  I can veriify that this unit DOES Playback video Via HDMI but not audio. To summarize, If you are looking for a 400-disc CD player to playback through a receiver with RCA R-L inputs, this unit will play CD's.  If you want to playback CD's or DVD's via HDMI, the Sony downloadable firmware AND OEM Remote RM-ASP001 is required.
