Vintage Emerson PD5098 CD Player Radio Description Here is a vintage original Emerson PD5098 Portable CD Radio System - Small Boom box! The system was never used, and is still sealed in its original plastic inside the box. It has been in storage for a couple decades. The box has been opened, and there is damage to one corner from what appear to be a mouse. There is one corner of the interior styrofoam that was also damaged. But, no damage to the radio plastic or anywhere else inside the box. It appears the mouse left after the bad taste of the styrofoam. The box front tab is also damage, from someone that didnt know how to open the box properly. The system will still make a great addition to your collection, even with the box damage. Sony CDP-D500 Rack-Mounted Compact Disc CD Player - PARTS OR REPAIR ONLY. When tested the CD tray would not eject. After opening the machine we found that if you press down gently on the disc tray or slightly lift one of the arms (circled in picture), the tray would eject. We used this method to put in a CD and it played perfectly. The CD adds just enough weight that the tray will eject on its own with a CD in it. Power cable not included.
