This Sony component system is very nice Mini disc player/recorder (see photos) works great able to record CD directly to Mini disc with one push of button record button CD MD Sync. Tested recording and works good. This unit does not have MDLP so recordings are limited to 80 minutes per mini disc.The only thing is you need original remote model to edit mini disc, comes with Sony RM SC 30 remote that belongs to different system that works with this unit, functions are limited to ON/OFF, volume. track selection, play does not work however if you hit pause button and hit again it will play, stop works, CD, Tape (Aux) mode can be selected, Play mode and repeat track works. To play MD push MD button on the unit, you can select tracks with remote however play does not work instead push pause twice and it will play. To play Tuner push button on the unit, stations can be tune in with remote.
