Vintage Sony CMT-EX100 Micro HI FI AM/FM/CD Player HCD-EX100 Player Only. No Remote or Speakers Cradle Issue? When first turned on, when touching the open sensor, the cradle does not move upward. However, if I push the cd In slightly, the cradle immediately comes up, receives disc and down to play No problem. Cradle works perfectly from there on. I don’t think it’s normal for this to happen at start, maybe so, Idk. I’m sure it easily fixable but I don’t have that skill. Otherwise the unit is great and clean! Made of heavy wood. The grilles are clean overall, but do have a couple very light marks on edges (never tried to clean so may easily come out, hard to even see in images) No rips or holes. PLEASE READ ALL: This is for a Genuine Sony CMT-EX100 Micro Hi-Fi Vertical Loading CD Player, AM/FM. This unit was tested and is currently needing servicing. It sat on a shelf unused for many years and when I first started testing it the CD eject up/down worked perfectly and the stereo sounded great(no hums/buzzes). As time went by testing multiple CD’s it stopped ejecting the cd. Also when the cd was removed it sounded as though it was still trying to eject but would not move. When the unit was turned off and cooled down, the eject worked again, then stopped after it warmed up. It looks like these models have problems with the belt going bad(replacements can be bought here on ebay and other places for around $10.00). That was the only problem that occured while testing. I have included a MOVIE in the gallery / pic section to show it does work at first and some of the buttons functioning. The Inputs/Outputs/Headphone jack all work(could not test optical out for lack of cord). The AM/FM radio tuner works. All buttons in front work. Has been tested with the remote(not included) and everything worked. The back cover part is missing, and it comes with the a Sony AM antenna that I believe came with it originally. Overall cosmetic condition is great with some minimal scuffs/scratches. I was unable to clean the area behind the front heavy glass piece and internally there is dirt/dust. There is only one issue with eject CD - working with CD loaded inside or if you change for another one. If CD deck is empty, the sliding part can stack when you call to open. Athervise works well.

I am listing this for a friend. It works great. It has been stored for the last 15 years. There is a small nick in the fabric on the one speaker and a couple of the same on the other speaker and the bottom of the unit is missing a rubber grommet. Other than that, this is in great condition! Please see pictures for details.

The CD loader gets stuck and does not reach the top so a disc cannot be inserted. It seems like the back tray does not move away when the eject button is pressed which is what causes the loader to get stuck and not reach the top. Other than that all of the buttons are working on the front and the screen works with no issues. The player itself is in good condition with some light wear like tiny scuffs. The glass isnt cracked or damaged on the front.
