U.K. Bidders Only Please read description For restoration or parts only For auction is this Vintage Sony CF-550-A Stereo Radio Cassette Recorder from my late Fathers collection. This set has only briefly been tested on a new set of batteries with the following results, It works on AM/FM and tunes into stations but sound is sometimes distorted, although the volume is good. Battery meter appears not to work. As for cassettes the set attempts to play a cassette but this soon has to be ejected to prevent tape damage. Nothing else has been tested so please assume other faults could be present . Generally the set is in very good cosmetic condition for its age except for a small crack to the side casing rear lower edge (see images) and the tip of the aerial is also missing as pictured. Please take time to review the images carefully. There is no mains lead with this set. The item will be sent by 2nd Class Royal Mail postage and will be well packed for delivery or it can be collected in person from Sutton Coldfield.
