Zum einen, weil es kaum noch Videogeräte gibt, deren hochwertigster Ausgang ein S-Video-Anschluss ist, sondern diese meist mit YUVoder HDMI-Ausgängen ausgestattet sind. Zum anderen, um durch den Einsatz mehrerer Subwoofer einen besseren Sound durch die Eliminierung stehender Wellen zu erzielen. Aber auch die weitere Ausstattung des STR-DG910 kann sich sehen lassen: Eine HDMI-Repeater-Funktion, eine Videokonvertierung auf HDMI, sowie eine fixe Einmessung der Heimkinoanlage und Einrichtung per Bildschirmmenü. Die Fernbedienung ist ergonomisch recht gut gelungen; die wichtigsten Tasten sind zudem selbstleuchtend ausgeführt.Setup Die automatische Einmessung mit ein paar Klängen aus jeder Box ist blitzschnell vollzogen. Für die vier Subwooferausgänge gibt es leider kein getrenntes Bassmanagement, so dass die Einstellungen ggf. an den Subwoofern selbst korrigiert werden müssen. Dank Lipsync-Funktion stellen Synchronisationsfehler mit dem STR-DG910 kein Problem dar. Klang Der STR-DG910 hat einen satten, warmen Klang, der auch kleine Satelliten angenehm ertönen lässt. Aber auch mit großen Standlautsprechern kann es der Receiver aufnehmen und auch ohne Subwoofer einen druckvollen, dynamischen Sound produzieren. So zum Beispiel bei „Orange Monster“ von den Gluey Bros. oder dem wilden Toben der Riesenkrake in „Fluch der Karibik 2“.Fazit Durch seine reichhaltige Ausstattung und angenehmen Sound ist der STR-DG910 absolut eine Empfehlung wert.
