Sony STR-242 stereo FM/AM Receiver FOR PARTSNO RETURNS

I have a set of vintage Johnson Personal Messenger transceiver radios, model 242-102. They were made in the United States by a company called E.F. Johnson and I believe were released in the 1960s. Both walkie talkies have their original battery packs attached to them at the bottom and it appears both batteries are dead. I also do not have the chargers for these portable 2-way radio devices. I do want to note one of the walkie talkies, after plugging in the battery pack and turning it on, did indeed start squelching and when pressing the talk button, it did go silent like it was working. But it soon stopped as the last bit of battery life went away. Because I am unable to charge the batteries I am unable to fully test these Johnson 2-way radios. That is why I am selling for parts or repair or not working. No return and no refunds, selling as is. Physically, these handheld transceiver radios have been used before and have been in storage for a good amount of time, so there is some wear and tear. This includes some scratches and markings. Also, they are a bit dirty/dusty from being in storage for a long time. A good deep cleaning would resolve that issue, but outside of those issues mentioned, they still look to be in good condition. Both antennas are fully intact and extend with no issues. All the knobs appear to be present and still in good condition and move/turn as they should. It also appears one of the walkie talkies still has the original hand strap on the back, the other does not. You can see what I mean in the photos provided. They were made in the United States with one still having the hand strap connected to the back of the unit, as seen in the photos. These handheld radios have been in storage for a good amount of time, so there is some wear and tear. Mainly, they need a good cleaning to shine them right up. They also have some scratches and markings, but overall still look to be in good condition. They both have the battery packs attached to them, but they appear to be dead. Actually, one of them when I attached the battery pack, you could hear it squelching and crackling as if it was normally working. I pressed the talk button and it went silent, as a walkies talkies radio would do. But it then quickly went completely dead. Because I am unable to fully test these out, I am selling them as is, not working, for parts or repair. No returns and no refunds.
