Sony TC-204SD Cassette Tape Player Recorder Deck Functionally, everything works. It plays and records fine. All lights, meters and switches work. Occasionally there is a slight delay between pushing fast forward or rewind and the winding reaching full speed. I understand this is probably due to hardening of the rubber idler tyres due to age. Cosmetically, the tape deck is in very good condition. The original owner lightly scribed their postcode in the lower right of the faceplate (see photos), but this is barely visible to me. There is a mark like adhesive residue on one of the dark grey sides of the case. Ive not tried to remove this as I didnt want to risk damaging the underlying paint.
