Sonic Frontiers Ultra Jitter Bug - excellent condition Artikelbeschreibung Der UltraJitter Bug ist ein digitaler Reclocker, der Jitter von einer digitalen Quelle wie einem CD-Player oder DAT-Gerät reduziert und ein sauberes Signal an einen Digital-Analog-Prozessor liefert. Mehr als 80 Komponenten sind in dem 2 x 1 5/8 großen, gekapselten Modul untergebracht. Der Name UltrajitterBug stammt vom Ultra Analog AES21-Eingangsempfängermodul, das den Crystal CS8412 oder einen anderen Eingangsempfängerchip durch eine wesentlich ausgefeiltere Clock-Recovery-Schaltung ersetzt. Der AES21 verwendet einen Crystal CS8412 für die Logikdekodierung zusammen mit zwei diskreten PLLs für eine Jitterspezifikation von 40 Pikosekunden am Ausgang. Zum Vergleich: Ein CS8412 hat einen Jitter von etwa 200 ps (Fußnote 3). Darüber hinaus hat der AES21 eine Jitter-Dämpfungs-Cutoff-Frequenz von 1 kHz - weit niedriger als die 25 kHz JACF des CS8412. Die Dual-PLL-Schaltung ist durch eine Messingabschirmung von den anderen Komponenten des Moduls isoliert. Das AES21 wurde von Dr. Rémy Fourré entwickelt, dessen hervorragender Artikel über Jitter in der Stereophile vom Oktober 1993 (Vol.16 No.10, S.80) veröffentlicht wurde. Der UltraJitter Bug verfügt über drei digitale Eingänge - AES/EBU über XLR und S/PDIF über Cinch-Koax und Toslink-Kunststoff-Glasfaser - die den neuen Ultra Analog AES21 AES/EBU ul English: The UltraJitter bug is a digital reclocker that reduces and rejects jitter from a digital source such as a CD player or DAT machine, and supplies a “clean” signal to a digital-to-analog processor. More than 80 components are housed in the 2 by 1 5/8 encapsulated module. The name UltrajitterBug itself comes from the Ultra Analog AES21 input receiver module, which replaces the Crystal CS8412 or other input receiver chip with a much more sophisticated clock-recovery circuit. The AES21 uses a Crystal CS8412 for logic decoding, along with dual discrete PLLs, for an output-clock jitter specification of 40 picoseconds. For comparison, a CS8412 has about 200ps of jitter (footnote 3). Moreover, the AES21 has a jitter-attenuation cutoff frequency of 1kHz—far lower than the CS8412s 25kHz JACF. The dual-PLL circuitry is isolated from other components in the module by a brass shield. The AES21 was designed by Dr. Rémy Fourré, whose superb article on jitter was published in the October 1993 Stereophile (Vol.16 No.10, p.80). The UJB has four power-supply regulation stages fed from a toroidal transformer; the master clock is supplied from its own regulation stage. Appearing at input and output are hand-wound custom transformers. These took more than a year to develop, and are reportedly critical to the UJBs performance. The UltraJitter bug has three digital inputs - AES/EBU via XLR and S/PDIF via RCA coax and Toslink plastic fibre optic - which feed the new Ultra Analog AES21 AES/EBU ultra-low jitter input receiver. The AES21 receives the digital input data, decodes it and attenuates the jitter that is present on the incoming digital data stream. This unit goes between your transport and your DAC.
