I inherited it a few years ago but never used it much, over this summer I wanted to give it another try and found it sounded defective. Sent it to a skilled technician and the diagnosis was a worn out rubber suspension. The rubber suspension in the cartridge was fixed - the ruby cantilever and diamond are still original and showed no sign of any wear (image in description) With the fixed suspension, the cartridge sounds as it should again. Professional tests on the cartridge have been done after suspension repair (image in description). Comes in the original SoundSmith wood crate box with paperwork and protective sleeve for the cartridge.
