SME 3012 Series I, first-generation version, with its original box, inside packing materials and 8-page manual. This arm is a beauty, with hardly any blemishes except for a ding on the bedplate (see Photo 7). All parts on this arm are original, including the two hexagon wrenches and the black ribbon for tying the armtube to the armlift. The only exception is the coupling rubber which has been replaced to fix the sagging problem of the end stub. The connection cable sockets have been changed to RCA connectors, although the original male and female sockets and the silver shielding can (plus the two side-catches for securing the shielding can on the underside) have been kept and the new owner can change them back if so wishes. One lug of the female socket has broken off (see photo 6), but the socket still works fine. This arm works flawlessly; however, the tonearm lift no longer has any hydraulic action, as is inevitably the case with all vintage Series I tonearms. This is the very first generation of the SME 3012 Series I, which head shell socket has two slits and it CANNOT be rotated (see Photo 5).
