Up for sale, an absolutley beautiful and MINT, SME Series V Magnesium Tone Arm. Also included is a Transfiguration cartridge, although I dont know what model the cart is. This is the absolute top of the line stuff! It is in good working order and sounds excellent! The stylus is in good condition and appears to have very little use. I attempted to get close up pictures of the stylis, but it is hard to do. (Note there is some dust on the cartridge in the pictures, it is not scratches). Please see the attached pictures and video for condition and demonstration. Please note, this tonearm and cart were installed on a SOTA Star Sapphire turntable when I aquired it. I do not have the original packaging for either of them. It will be properly packaged to endure it arrives safely. I may have to remove the cartridge and pack it separately to ensure that it doesnt get damaged. Additionally local pick up is welcomed and I would be willing to travel a reasonable distance to meet rhe new buyer if they would like to do so. A rare sought after SME Series IV Magnesium Tonearm The SME Series IV is considered one of the best one arms made. Close cousin to the Series V, the SME Series IV uses the unique one piece pressure die-caste magnesium tone arm as found on the Series V. The Series IV is very highly regarded with many a glowing review. SME no longer supply these Series IV (and V) Tone Arms separately. They are only available as part of an SME Turntable package. This particular Series IV has been in my collection for many years. It was one of the originals supplied to dealers as demonstrators and hence it has no serial number. These dealer Series IVs were hand built to high standards as befits a tone arm which has to wow the customer. It had limited use as a demonstrator and I have never used it. (although it does feature in some of the photographs in my listings for my Audio Classique Armboards).
