This is a Shure branded SME 3009 Series 2 with a FIXED headshell. It works fine, but when I was removing a cartridge I snapped two of the leads. I soldered one back on, but it was too short. SME 3009 Series II Improved tonearm original boxed. This is a nice example complete with original box, templates and manuals. It has the fixed headshell armtube (for some reason the box says detachable but this is incorrect). The arm is in lovely cosmetic condition with gleaming arm tube and clean body. It works perfectly and sounds great. This is a particularly desirable example being original boxed and also being a very early example of the new improved 3009 series II design. This means that it has a metal knife edge bearing like early series II (non improved) arms had which is popular with many SME fans. We can ship worldwide with care.
