This is a SME 3009 series 2 Not improved arm with a very low 4 digit serial number 2393 This does not include the head shell. Everything else is there including new rubber plate mounts, I will pack this up perfectly and ship insured to the USA by UPS 2nd Day. International sales are through eBay global shipping. It does not get better than this for that meticulous turntable restoration. Its hard to know what to ask for something like this that is so very rare in this condition This tonearm was meticulously rebuilt and modified by SMETONEARMS.com years ago and not been installed since. This is a description of the SMETONEARMS processes that can also be found on their website - SME arm it is completely broken down to its most basic of components.- All parts are checked for acceptable tolerances.- All parts are put through a two stage acid bath and then sent through our sonic cleaners.- Unacceptable parts are discarded & replaced with New Old Stock SME British-made parts.- All external components are refinished to their brilliant original factory finish, shine & luster.- The two sets of pillar bearings are extracted and sonically cleaned.- We can also upgrade the pillar bearings to ABEC 9 Ceramic Roller Bearings from SKF in France for a nominal fee of $35.00 per bearing. Once this process is completed the re-wiring can begin - - We install a double continuous uninterrupted 1.25 meter run of one of the finest Cardas tonearm cables in the world. - The 4 X 33 Awg Cardas fully shielded Litz Wire - Highly shielded through a myriad of shielding processes to safeguard against outside RF interference. - Thanks to its Litz coating & Golden Section Stranding Conductors it is also one of the most musical tonearm wires in the world. - Once the arm has been wired it is then terminated at the end of the 1.25 meter run with Neutrik RCA connectors or Neutrik XLR connectors employing a superb strain relief system. - We have found these Neutrik connectors to be superior connectors due to the employment of this superb strain relief system.

The headshell is an Ortofon SPU type (has a few soldering iron marks on the underside) onw of the wires has coen adrift on the output, near the RCA plugs and the headshell collar has seized on the wand, ad will need freeing. It will also need a further detailed clean.sold for light restoration. a few light marks on the wand. SME Shure 3012 Tone Arm acquired from the estate of an audiophile. This tone arm and its required weights, etc. were packed away in a box. Original cable with multiplug and RCA plugs/ground is included. I noticed that the back part of the tone arm which holds the weight and is attached by a piece of rubber is starting to disintegrate. So, the back of the tone arm that holds the weight feels a little loose due to the weak rubber connection. Thats the best way I can explain this flaw. The small weight attached by monofilament is present along with the spring holder, and the other double weight. I know less than Nothing about this tone arm so please base your bid on the included auction photos.
