Harbeth HL-K6 stand mount speakers (pair) I am the second owner. Purchased them several years ago and have enjoyed them very much. My listening area has changed and went a different direction. The HL-K6 were a product that was designed by Alan Shaw of Harbeth to be specifically tailored for the Asian market and the distribution channels there (Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and China). The first owner was in the music industry in South Korea and brought them the the USA when he retired. I acquired them when he was downsizing homes and needed more room for his listening area. They were purchased originally in 1999. They are matching numbered pairs. This is why you dont find them often for sale in the USA as they were trying to enter a new market place at the time and didnt have direct to customer sales in Asia at that time. From my understanding the HL-K6 are essentially the standard 8 inch driver style stand mound style speaker with slight tuning for reference level accuracy in the crossover. However all other aspects are the same and i have listened to most their line up and feel like im splitting hairs trying to pin point any differences. Comes with the pair of Skylan SKY-4P20 which retail for $625 and are currently backordered. Stands will be shipped in their original box which is hefty at nearly 24 x 14 x 10 and 30 pounds. Speakers will come in 2 separate boxes due to size and weight. Each speaker with out packaging are 23 pounds. Ive owned these since 2015, and they have been a wonderful sonic pairing with my Vinnie Rossi LIO DHT integrated. Ive since moved into a smaller home and am listening 100 percent with my HiFiMAN HE1000 V2 headphones, so have decided to give someone else an opportunity to own these special speakers.The speakers are in great cosmetic condition and produce the same signature Harbeth sound as when new. One thing to note is that the right speaker has an interesting grain pattern that shows a contrast at certain angles at the right rear side, but disappears when viewed at other angles. I included pictures from multiple angles, so you can see what Im describing, but feel free to reach out if you have questions about this or any other aspects of the speakers.Both speakers will be shipped in their original Harbeth boxes and double-boxed for protection. For sale is a pair of Skylan SP-27 stands, in excellent condition, with their factory box, and a set of flat feet. They do not have their spikes. These Skylan stands were originally designed for the Harbeth P3ESRs, they stand 27 inches tall and the top plates measure: 7-1/4 X 7-1/4. Skylan is one of the leading brands in Harbeth speaker stands right now because of their superior build quality and ability to be filled with aquarium sand, birdseed, shot etc. Filling the stands help decrease the resonance, keeps the speakers stable, and actually makes them sound better all around.
