Description
Up for sale is a rare Audio Magic Eclipse II version 2 power conditioner. This was Audio Magics second from the top power conditioner on their old line (right below the Transcendence), the equivalent of the current Nexus power conditioner. There were two versions of the Eclipse II, one had two filter switches per outlet set (two each for the digital, amplifier, and pre-amp sections). This version has three switches for each outlet set. This unit was $3500 new when it came out. The dimensions are 17 inches wide, 12.5 inches deep, and with the footers 4 inches high (3.5 without). It was made in 2007, but has had no use since 2018 aside from testing to make sure everything is still fine. While I owned it it received very light use (it was also used with a low power headphones based system) so the actual working hours are significantly less than its age. An Eclipse v.1 was listed on Audiogon for $1700+ in July 2023, so heres your chance to get an even better unit for less money. Audio Magics Description of the unit (actually the v.1 not the v.2) is as follows:Eclipse II:Fitted with Filter Matching, the Eclipse II has 3 totally isolated circuits, two detachable silver power cords, two 20 amp breakers, 10 ga. silver conductors, cryo treated with MST treatment, specially designed duplexs (with surge and spike protection), two super filters, premium teflon caps, as well as premium and ultra premium parts.Incredible dynamics, staging, transparency, and detail to die for! The Eclipse II is quiet and extremely musical. With Filter Matching, the new Eclipse II has been brought to a whole new level and will leave the competition in the dust!- The unit has been cleaned with 99% isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth and cotton swabs to get in the nooks and crannies, then polished with WD-40. The outlets have been treated with a mixture of De-Oxit Gold G100 solution, Stabilant 22, and nano-powder graphene through the enhancer being on my power cables plugs, so there is both protection and contact enhancement. - The power conditioner requires two power cables as it isolates the analog section (the amplifier and pre-amp outlets) from the digital section. It is quite unique in this respect. Ive only seen a couple other older power conditioners do this (I think Tice used this method for one of their units but with built in power cables). I can include generic power cables as needed, but Im sure any buyer would want to use higher grade cables. - The sets of three filter switches per outlet allow the user to see what filtering works best for them. This is a very user friendly method of approaching filtering and another unique feature. - The wiring throughout the unit is 10 gauge/awg pure silver wiring. Most power conditioners and distributors use 12 awg wiring and copper wire. -The unit also uses rare Teflon dielectric capacitors that are much rarer (and more expensive) now than when the unit was made. - There is a large Audio Magic Black Out passive device within. - The unit also uses the equivalent of large P.E.A. and Pulse Gen units internally. These are Audio Magics version of Add-Powr/QRT technology. One sends an algorithmic pulse down the power line, the other radiates a signal field over an area. They both are meant to help better align and propagate electrons for a smoother electrical flow and lower noise levels. It sounds a bit much, but I have seen and heard all types of this technology work from small plug ins to large units like Add-Powrs Sorcer x4. - The outlets are hospital grade Leviton outlets. - I added sorbothane feet to the unit to replace its original rubber feet. - The unit has been cryo treated and been given Audio Magics molecular stabilization treatment (a separate process from cryo treatment. - The main flaws of this unit are some light marks on the aluminum casing and on the plastic faces of the outlets. There is some residue from graphene based contact enhancer on my power cables in the outlets plug entries, I did try to clean the excess as much as I could, but hopefully the benefits of the graphene are still there. - Why am I selling?, well I want to upgrade to Audio Magics top of the line Oracle unit. I love this power conditioner, but its time to upgrade. Shipping will be insured for the full sale price. I will message the buyer with pictures of the packaging before shipment and the postal receipt after shipment.
