Made in the UK One-owner Pink Triangle Anniversary LP Turntable This is a one owner Anniversary. The arm-board is drilled for the Naim Aro but can be adapted to most arms. As well, I have listed on a Naim ARO tonearm with phono stage and power supply. It has a problem in that it does not hold speed. The way the power supply works is that it charges a niCad battery and then the DC motor is driven directly via the battery. Probably all it needs is a new battery. The battery is nothing special and should be easy to find from a place like The Battery Store. Has one defective dust cover hinge. All the other functions and parts of the table are good. It is a complicated table to pack but I am a pro at shipping. Been shipping hi-end audio for over 40 years. For saleMy Pink Triangle Export turntable. This deck has been substantially refurbished by yours truly. I will include the original power supply for the dedicated restorer but that will require at least a recap as motor noise is very evident. The replacement supply included is the excellent Heed Orbit that runs entirely silently. The armboard is a lightweight Kevlar? piece from Tru-point audio. I replaced the very tired hardboard baseboard with acrylic and attached steel cone support feet. The tonearm is a Hadcock GH242 10 unipivot with additional stabilizing counterweight by XTC. I include my (legendary) Shure V15V-mr moving magnet cartridge. The stylus is still excellent and going forward replacement styli can be obtained from Jico etc. I also include a Funk Firm 5mm Acromat that definitely improves sound quality, after all the mat and deck were both designed by Arthur Khoubesserian. A Pink Triangle Export record player in black. In very fine condition and good working order. This is a well maintained example and has been serviced in the past. It comes with a new unused drive belt. It has a pink lid also in very fine condition with no marks, only very light polishing marks. It has no cracks or chips to the edges. All the glue joints are intact. I do not know if it is an original Pink Triangle lid or an after market model but it works fine and fits the lid hinges properly. The lid hinges hold the lid up properly and are good and strong. This is the export model and does not have an external power supply. It has an internal power supply board and you simply turn the front switch clock wise to engage both 33 and 45 speeds and the built in LED changes colour as you change speed. Both LEDs are working. The plinth is in black ash and is very fine with no scratches or chips to the wood. The top plate is gloss black and has a mirror like finish, again there are no major marks or scratches just light polishing swirls. The platter is very fine with no scratches, chips or dents to the soft acrylic material. The main bearing is fine with virtually no play, rare on one of these from the 90s as it is a good age now. I suspect it got little use in the past. The motor is fine and quiet with no noise and plays both speeds spot on. It has a Roksan Tabriz tone arm with intelligent counter weight which moves on a fine bearing pivot. The arm is also in very fine condition and is working very well with no scratches or marks. Both horizontal and vertical bearings are smooth. The arm lift/lower device works correctly. It comes with the cream coloured arm cable with the Roksan RCA plugs. The cartridge is a Goldring Elite low output moving coil type and will not work in to a moving magnet input, you will need a dedicated moving coil input on your amplifier or phono stage or a step up transformer between your cartridge and moving magnet phono stage. The stylus under a magnifying glass is very good and appears to be hardly used so you should enjoy many months of life left in the cartridge.The suspension is working fine and can be adjusted with a suitable hex key via the three hex bolts on the side and top of the plinth. All three springs are moving freely. It comes with some receipts as shown in the photos and the manual with alignment template for the Tabriz arm. It comes with a new belt in its packing with a pink ribbon to help loop the belt round the motor pully. All in a very fine old record player and some parts for this are still available i.e. arm boards, belts so easy to service and replace arms in the future. If you look after it it will last another 25 years. Pink Triangle Turntable in a gorgeous walnut finish and smoked lid.With original box! Ive been using this with a Helius Orion and it is a wonderful combination.Arm and cartridge not included. If you buy the Orion and the Export, Ill throw in the Helius armboard (otherwise a metal Linn fit armboard will be provided). The only issue with this is that the green and red light dont illuminate on the switch it hasnt since Ive owned it but it has never bothered me. Could be an easy fix if you wanted to get it sorted. Ill add some more photos in the week and get the box out of the loft. This was one of the many PT1 turntables that Pink Triangle upgraded to PT export so it has a rather nice top plate.Whether the change from PT1 to Export was an upgrade is open to debate. The box will have the PT1 serial number but clearly states that it was a walnut finish with a smoked lid. Sorry UK postage and collection only.
