These are truly some of the best interconnect cables ever made, IMHO! If you know Audioquest, you know what you are getting! Absolute precision, liquid midrange, exceptional bass, incredible resolution, oodles of fine details, and an immense and emotionally engaging soundstage. These are the recently former flagship design from Audioquest with 100% Perfect Surface Silver solid-core conductors. My only reason for selling is that my system has recently been reconfigured and I now need longer lengths to accommodate a new set of monoblock amplifiers. *What makes this pair particularly rare and prized is the fact that, while the connectors Audioquest is using now are fantastic, these are the best connectors AQ ever used! These pistol connectors actually screw down and clamp on to your RCA jack with maximum contact pressure!!! Absolutely the best RCA connectors ever made! I was told AQ had supply chain issues and thats when they moved to their new connectors. Again, nothing at all wrong with the current connectors but these are slightly better and fuller sounding. So these are the absolute best example of the WEL Signature RCA interconnect to be on offer! Also, while the braid on this pair denotes the original version of the cable, it is identical in every way to the latest version with the exception of the color of the braid. The original DBS packs have been upgraded to the current 72v DBS Carbon. So this is the absolute best this cable can possibly get! *And as told by Audioquest, the DBS Carbon and DBS Level X are identical. They previously had DBS Black (the older tech) and DBS Carbon (new tech with the noise filter included). The DBS battery packs will last for years. A test button and LED allow for the occasional battery check. CARBON-BASED 7-LAYER NOISE-DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS): 100% shield coverage is easy. Preventing captured RF Interference from modulating the equipment’s ground reference requires AQ’s Noise-Dissipation System.
