a recent estate sale find. I found this in the same house that I found the Western Electric tube amp and the Roger Modjeski pieces that I recently listed. This one is a bit of a headscratcher as I could not find anything about it in my research. If anyone out there has any info they can share, that would be much appreciated. I dont know anything other than what it states on the plate . It is a Cox Signal Generator made by Stellarmetrics, Inc. of Santa Barbara, CA. The fact that the serial number listed is #1 makes me think that it is some sort of prototype. Of course, the striking design is what made me pick it up. The lucite case reminded me of the radio that Raymon Loewy designed for Hallicrafters. A real objet dart and conversation piece to be sure. As this is a vintage piece, Im offering it in as found condition. for parts not working, i.e.. no returns. any repairs and restoration I leave to the next owner. ***** I found a few other similar projects from this sale I shall be listing soon.
