That may be true but after I bought them I was told they are purely for audiophiles & not DJs playing on Technique SL1200 turntables! Up for sale is a wonderful Shure V15Vx cartridge, which I am selling with TWO original styluses, the VN5xMR microridge stylus. I am selling everything for what you would usually pay for just one cartridge/stylus. The first VN5xMR stylus on the cart has less than 20 hours on it and as you can see from the photos it is in beautiful condition. The second VN5xMR stylus was used only a few times to make sure that it works. The cartridge comes mounted on a new Technics headshell (itself a $70 value). The sound of the V15Vx cartridge is excellent and clear. In my opinion the VN5xMR stylus produces a more delicate and refined sound than its more famous cousin, the VN5MR. For sale is a Shure VN35MR stylus for the Shure V15 type III. This stylus is rare in that there werent that many made. It was a later release for Shure after the release of the Type VxMR Micro Ridge that came on the V15 type V. If you owned a V15 TYPE III, Shure gave you the chance to upgrade to a MicroRidge stylus. The stylus tip on this is either broken or just flat worn out. The cantilever still looks strong. Either way you will need to get this retipped so Im selling it for parts. So why even bother retipping ? Lots of people would tell you just to get a Jico replacement from Japan. Now while the Jico is a good stylus, there are many enthusiasts who insist you cannot duplicate the original Shure sound with a copy, which all aftermarket replacements are no matter how good the quality. Why is this ? Well while replacements can get you close they still are not original and are still guessing to reverse engineer what Shure did. For one thing, the suspension is one of the hardest things to duplicate. If you get this original stylus, even for retipping, you are assured an original with correct stylus suspension for your V15iii cartridge. This VN35MR is compatible with all Shure V15 type III cartridge bodies. Im selling it for a great price. Jump on it !
