Shure V15 Type IV Cartridge w. Stylus on SME S2 Headshell I don’t have the equipment to test this but it came as part of an audiophile’s vinyl collection I bought that incuded a Thorens TT. The vinyl was all MINT and the Thorens w SME arm (I still have it and would like to sell it) was in excellent shape. Also for sale is a V15VxMR Cartidge no stylus in it’s case w inserts/tools - posted separately. I’m open to a combine offer for that as well as this auction. Here is a very nice Shure V15iii cartridge. It is the white letter version which seems to be less common than the yellow letter version. It has been tested and it sounds amazing. The stylus guard is missing the label but the front of the stylus has the red Shure label. This means that the stylus should be the very desirable VN35HE or VN35MR. Those models had the red Shure label. Please see pictures for condition. It is very nice. Sold as is due to unknown hours. Lucky new owner to pay shipping. It will be packed very well. This is a Shure V15VMR with an ed saunders stylus for the v15 type iv. The V15VMR is a legendary cart with a flat frequency response when used with an original stylus. The aftermarket styli dont achieve the same level of flatness, but still perform very well. The jico sas has a pretty decent scoop out between 2k and 10k before the highs peak. this ed saunders stylus doesnt have the dip in the mids and highs so it is a bit flatter sounding in that range. it does have a peak at the end of the spectrum but not to the level of a sas. this stylus will allow you to enjoy the sound of this cart while or if you decide to pursue another option.
