An Untested 1970s, maybe earlier version of the Shure M44-7 cartridge, does have a Shure stylus installed looks okay?? Not Shure why its crimped up though, Novice opinion, you may have to replace it. No number marking on the stylus. Along for the ride is a old used Shure stylus, may have been the original, I dont think it is any good, shows corrosion and junk, just throwing it in because it has a cool box and some literature about the N44 stylus and the M44-7 cartridge.

Multimeter tested at 1402/1400 ohms a channel and tracks wonderfully at 1.25 grams. Keep in mind that this has a flip down stylus guard but no brush like the OEM Shure stylus.Sounds fantastic though and I really think the brush was something that got in the way. Shure M97xE purchased new in May 2009. Needle was unfortunately damaged during a move and was recently replaced with a Pfanstiehl 4771-DE. I estimate I have 20-30 hours on the new needle to try it out. Id say it sounds as good as new, but its been 10 years since I heard the stock stylus. Comes with packaging and accessories as pictured. The damaged stylus body is included as well. The replacement stylus comes with a flip-down guard that I removed, its included but I dont see the benefit. The original came with a flip-down brush, the replacement is just flip-down plastic. Fully functional, sounds great, but sold as-is, I do not accept returns.

I bought this in 2015, directly from JICO, and have never got around to using it. Outer is opened but stylus is still sealed in inner package. This stylus only fits a Shure M97xE. As were moving and downsizing Ive decided to sell it.

This is a brand new old stock, sealed, shure M97xe cartridge. This came from a closed audio store I bought out. These are getting very hard to come by since Shure went out of business. NOTE: The shrink wrap on the end with the bar code is partially split but not enough to open the end of the box. See photo.
