Item being sold as found and has not been cleaned, cleaning will be left to the winning bidder if they choose to do so. Item is from a smoke free home. Item is in excellent, overall condition considering its age, and item does show some light wear/age if anything. This auction includes one vintage Garrard type A, four pin headshell with a vintage Shure M8D stereo turntable cartridge included. Please see all fourteen clear pictures for more details as each are an integral part of this description. Item is free from any loose particles inside/outside its headshell and/or housing. Item is also free from any non original drilled holes, modifications, etc. All parts that are present including the four pin headshell, wiring, cartridge, etc. do appear to be original and intact as shown. Item was found with its original Garrard label/emblem on top as shown in multiple pictures above. Please also note the vintage Garrard headshell is free from any cracking, loose parts, etc. The original factory black colored handle is present and functioning. All four factory metal pins are also present and functioning. Pictures one, five, six and eleven portray both the original headshell handle and four metal pins in detail. Pictures five and six, as well as pictures eleven through thirteen also portray each and every side, top and bottom of the Garrard headshell... which as previously mentioned is in excellent original condition. The vintage Shure M8D stereo cartridge is also in excellent condition just the same. Please see multiple pictures above for more details regarding the cartridge. Pictures two through four portray the cartridge and its visible Shure factory marking(s) up close, and all original hardware that is included. Pictures seven through nine portray the cartridge and all of the rest of the Shure factory original marking(s) (both stamped and engraved) that are present. The cartridge includes four pins that were found wired and connected to the four pins protruding from the Garrard headshell itself. Picture two, and pictures seven through nine give more of a visual detail regarding the period, original and intact wiring present with this item. Please also note the last picture for more details pertaining to measurements of this item. Not only are the vintage Shure M8D stereo cartridges impressive, but including a clean, period original Garrard type A four pin headshell only adds to it. This item definitely has potential to be a great addition to your period, or other turntable tonearm application(s).
