I used to be an audiophile, which means I’d buy stereo gear on a whim when I could, to see if it made my system better. This is a SHURE M75 ECS STEREO PHONO CARTRIDGE. It’s used, but lightly so. Tested fine on my ERA test turntable, playing Coleman Hawkins and Liszt with equal aplomb. The M75 internals are largely identical to its bigger, more expensive brother, the M91. These were great years for Shure (see what I did there?)-- the cartridges didn’t have a dog in the whole line-up. This one has the elliptical stereo stylus (a larger conical was/is? available for 78rpm discs), and it’s in good shape with plenty of life left.
