Shure M3d stereo cartridge with unknown stylus in a Garrard 40 MK II headshell.This was removed from a working Garrard turntable.

Estate sale find. Marked on box and stylus new not used. Took pictures with sticker on and off. I cant 100% guarantee it hasnt been used, but it definitely looks it. I had my vintage electronics guy check it out, and he gave thumbs up. I have another one also from the same estate. Please see pictures for the condition and details. Shure M3D phono cartridge. This unit came to me in an old repairman RCA vacuum tube carrying case along with other items in the case. Inspection of the stylus shows it to be exceptionally clean, with no crud, or corrosion on the cantilever or carrier. If it has been used, it has not been for any length of time at all. It has surely benefited from being in its packaging, inside the tube carrying case for who knows how long. I installed it on a Pioneer PL-530 TT and set the tracking and antiskate both to 3 grams, and it played wonderfully. The outputs measured at 360 and 362 ohms on my DMM. The cartridge comes complete with the inner and outer cases, mounting hardware, and all the paperwork, including your mail in warranty registration card! Thanks for looking. Shure vintage M3D phono cartridge. This item came to me in an old repairman RCA vacuum tube carrying case along with various other items. I have not installed it on a turntable to test. It comes with everything pictured, case, outer box, documents, and hardware. I took as good of pictures as I was able. The stylus is exceptionally clean. It does not look like it has been used. There is absolutely no crud build-up corrosion, or wear marks that I have seen on other used styli that I have inspected lately. That said, I am no authority on the M3D or cartridges on general, just a relatively knowledgeable user. The output pins measure right at 360 ohms on each side. The pins look like they could used some deoxit or something,they are gold colored, but not clean and shiny looking. Thanks for looking. U.S. shipping only please.

This Shure M3D cartridge is the perfect addition to your vintage turntable. I originally had this on a 1968 Garrard Lab 100 mk ii and then on a 1976 Dual 1246. It is a warm cartridge with deep lows and crisp highs. It is also very forgiving of older vinyl that isn’t in the best condition. The stylus has some dinks on the cantilever visible under magnification. But, it has never affected its performance. It is simply a wonderful cartridge which fully explains its cult following.
