Hello For sale my shure M3D. It mounts the original stylus which I used for maximum 100 hours. At some point I found a replacement elliptical stylus for it from Uk and purchased it. I never got to mount it so it’s brand new. This is the old version of this cart, the most desirable as the casing weight is higher and made of bekelite. You can see that as it says only Shure in gold at the bottom of it and not Shure M3D I believe I was the first person to actuality mount and play the cart. As you can see from the picture it’s in mint condition. Please ask for any question. Thanks

The M3D cartridge has revolutionized phono playback. From the history:1958: Shure introduces the M3D stereo Dynetic Cartridge. It is the worlds first moving magnet stereo cartridge; it features stereo channel separation at 1,000 Hz of 20 dB or better. This cartridge is a true piece of history. It was given to me by late Shure engineer Roger Anderson, who actually invented it, andwho I knew personally. . The cartridge was exhibited behind the glass in my phonograph display for over 40 years. It is in working condition and comes with the copy of the User Guide. No mounting hardware or original packaging are provided.
