This listing is for an Audio Technica AT14S phono cartridge with its original Shibata stylus (you can see details of the stylus and tapered cantilever in the microscope photos). This Audio Technica phono cartridge, as with the tonearms and turntables I had listed during the past months, belonged to a friends late husband. My friend has entrusted me with the sale of her husbands audio components. We thought we had found everything, but this Audio Technica AT14S and two other phono cartridges surfaced. The AT14S is truly a great sounding cartridge; in fact, it sounds nearly identical (to my ears) as my favorite AT15XE. The AT14S, with its Shibata stylus, has an extended high-frequency response compared to the AT15XE (this was measured objectively using a test record). Several photos were taken under magnification: It should be apparent from photos theres little wear on the stylus. Please view all photos carefully, as they are better descriptors than my writing.
