For sale is a Sherwood S-7100A Am/Fm stereo receiver. This unit is in very good condition for its age but, it does display some very minor blemishes from normal everyday use. Please view the photos carefully in detail for your own evaluation. This unit has had all of the controls thoroughly cleaned with Deoxit products to ensure trouble free operation, Any out of spec parts have been updated with new quality replacements. The main amplifier boards, power supply and tone boards have been upgraded with new capacitors. There is still a little bit of static present in the volume pot sometimes when the unit is first powered on but, this lasts only a second or two then fades away. The best way I find to remedy this issue, is to have the speaker selector switched to off before turning the unit on then waiting a second or two before switching the speakers on. This unit has been thoroughly tested and all functions operate as they should. This receiver played beautifully through my Advent loudspeakers.
