I RECENTLY AQUIRED THIS BEAUTIFUL TUBE AMPLIFIER FROM A GENTLEMAN WHO RECENTLY LOST HIS HEARING. HE ENJOYED IT FOR MANY YEARS AND REALIZED THAT IT WAS TIME TO PART WITH IT. HE WAS THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND TREATED IT AS IF IT WAS HIS OWN CHILD. IT IS IN EXCELLENT COSMETIC CONDITION AND SOUNDS AS BEAUTIFUL AS IT LOOKS. IT ALSO INCLUDES ORIGINAL METAL CABINET!! I HOPE IT WILL FIND ANOTHER HOME SOON AND ENJOY IT FOR MANY YEARS TO COME. LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS THAT I MAY NOT HAVE COVERED. GOOD LUCK BIDDING.

Sherwood amplifier. I tested all inputs with my vintage Heathkit Tube AM tuner plugging into each side and 2 Polk Audio speakers. Everything works, sounds good, no hum. Some scratches and wear, big black mark on top on the cabinet. No dents or dings. Check pictures, use the zoom feature. Very clean overall, insides look original with no repairs. It has 5x 12AX7 tubes and four 7868 tubes. One mounting bolt of the bottom cover busted off, it was a little rusted, no big deal, there are many bolts securing the bottom cover. Its heavy. It weighs 24 lbs without packaging. Measures 15 x 13 x 5 rounded up.

The reason I am asking top dollar for this amplifier is because it is in mint condition! Cosmetically it literally looks like I got it off the show room floor! There are no scuffs or scratches on this unit nor is there anything wrong with it to my knowledge. I am reluctantly selling it to use the money to put down on newer tube amp called a Willsenton R8. I have only used aux 1 and phono inputs. The phono inputs are extremely powerful. Volume knobs have been cleaned with electro wash, but other than that that’s all I have done to the unit! The tubes all work and were tested by the person that sold it to me. I have ran the unit at a 4 ohm and an 8 ohm load and unit performs great. This unit is a tube amp and you get a true 64 watts. I recommend turning the Gain up a little over half way and using the loudness knob to adjust volume. This unit has a lot of bass and can cause a tube rumble if the turntable is on the same shelf as the amplifier. All sales are final unless the unit is damaged in shipping heaven forbid. I will make sure to professionally pack this amplifier and box it up with all precautions taken. I will have the tubes labeled with drawings showing which location the tubes have been previously operating in. I will also individually pack each pre amp tube and the two smaller output tubes and have them labeled. I am going to leave the large output tubes inside the amplifier because it’s the safest best place for them.
