for sale sharp rt 1144 fully working with new belts front is in ok condition, couple of marks on top left hand top corner has a crack thats been glued with a 2 part epoxy resin, see pics heads have been cleaned has some age related marks and wear played a 60 min tape a few times over while servicing other audio will be retested before posting and sent with parcel force 48postage is for mainland uk, uk islands please message me for quote please remember that this item is vintage audio and not new and can go wrong at any time, this is why i fully retest before sending , so when it leaves me its all good, if i find a fault upon retesting i will not sent it out and you will be fully refunded, this does happen from time to time , but in the event that when it reaches you there is a fault i will accept a return through ebay , and when i receive the item back and had my tech go over it i will refund in fulli also security mark internal parts to stop scammers will be well packed for safe arrival any questions feel free to ask

Like most cassette decks of this age it probably needs new rubber belts, and perhaps some other regular maintenance. Very cool big VU meters still light up as shown in the photos. There is also a big scratch hence so for this reason it is being priced low. The main features of the Sharp RT-1144 are: 2 heads, analog 3 digit tape counter, manual tape type selection with support for normal, chrome and ferro-chrome tapes with additional manual equalization selection, belt driven single-capstan transport. Typical front loading cassette deck with the cassette compartment located on the left side of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well. Level meters used on the RT-1144 are analog needle VU reading meters. Mechanical transport controls for reliable RT-1144 transport function selection. The Dolby-B system reduces tape hiss on tapes recorded on the RT-1144 by as much as 10 dB at the highest frequencies. To make live recordings this deck has 2 microphone inputs to connect microphones with a jack connector. For undisturbed listening a jack connector for a pair of stereo headphones is supplied. Connection to other audio components for playback can be achieved by a RCA cable and recording from a source by a RCA cable.

IT WAS RUNNING FINE THIS MORNING BUT THE WHEEL TO THE RIGHT HAS STOPPED ROTATING IN PLAY , LEFT RUNS , RIGHT DOES NOT MOVE . RW /FF BOTH WORK FINE . A BELT MUST HAS GIVEN UP . ALSO FAR RIGHT DIAL IS MISSING ITS PLASTIC CAP ‘ a replacement has been added which is a little bigger . HAS ORIGINAL MANUAL , SCEMATIC DIAGRAM AND A COUPLE OF PHONO LEADS .
