I am selling a matched pair (2) of the legendary T-9 Ribbon Tweeters Speakers by Dick Sequerra One speaker works great but the other has lower output volume. I opened the foam grills and examined the inside of both. I cant tell anything wrong. The appearance of both speakers look the same to me (see pictures). I also used multimeter to measure the DC resistance across each sides (front and back on each speaker) of the ribbons; and all four got the same readings of about 0.5-0.6 ohm (see pictures). I am not technical person and cant tell the cause. So, my lower than usual price reflects the condition these speakers are in. Please bid accordingly. One grill has a dent which does not appear to do anything bad. The speakers are in good physical condition too. The cabinets are all good, The sale includes just the two ribbon speakers in the pictures; no manual, box, or any other accessories. We also have T9 set listed, these where in a mid century time capsule home , I have no way to test either set, our loss buyers gain, there was no received, just tucked in the back of tv cabinet, It seems all cones are intact, etc, but untested, in used cosmetic condition, also has base blocks that match pictured, but dusty but all pretty good for age! These speakers are well know among audiophiles and a really great pair of monitors. I used them for several years but after some remodeling I have room for full size floor standing speakers. They sounded wonderful with my tube amps/preamps. Outside of that I dont know much about the history other than Dick Sequerra designed a variety of high end audio equipment over the years. I painted them a nice gloss white. Pretty decent job. They had a fairly dated looking cherry veneer finish which can be seen on the undersides which I did not paint.

This a unique Sequerra subwoofer. It was bought at his estate auction, see photos. There is a volume control but no crossover selection. The sub crosses over/rolls off ending at 120 hrtz. you cant change that, you can only adjust the volume. It sound wonderful as you would expect. I bought it because I collect his equipment. It is a unique sub woofer, he only made one. See the Stereophile interview bellow. And I have included some images from the estate sale. This is a one of a kind item. Sequerra: The speakers are amplified, and the sub has got the same amplifier, modified a bit. They were designed for my computer, to satisfy me. There was a prototype that I built to prove this was viable, and it used, fundamentally, Chinese components because I originally conceived of the product being manufactured in China. But Ive rethought that. Now I think they could be manufactured here, primarily for the gaming market, because the price is academic for those people—and gaming is a business where you can really produce in quantity.it is heavy but canbe shipped.
