These speakers are well know among audiophiles and a really great pair of monitors. I used them for several years but after some remodeling I have room for full size floor standing speakers. They sounded wonderful with my tube amps/preamps. Outside of that I dont know much about the history other than Dick Sequerra designed a variety of high end audio equipment over the years. I painted them a nice gloss white. Pretty decent job. They had a fairly dated looking cherry veneer finish which can be seen on the undersides which I did not paint.
