These are the best version of this legendary Model and will shine with a Good, powerful Desktop Amp, as they require a good Voltage swing and decent Current capability.Given what they need, these will rival or even surpass most modern designs. They are capable of almost unsurpassed Speed,Transparency and holographic Soundstage. In fact, many in the know, myself included, regard these as superior to anything that Sennheiser produces nowadays, except perhaps for the extremely expensive, Range Topper HD800. And even these may be only marginally better, their overkill construction being largely responsible for their exorbitant price-tag.More affordable, but still relatively expensive current models such as the highly rated HD 580/600/650 series, sound positively mediocre in comparison! It is in overall Excellent Cosmetic condition and Technically flawless.With original Ear Pads and New Third Party Damping foam discs.I have got simply too many Headphones and these will have to go.
