It is overall in great shape and I also didnt find any issues with the drivers as well. The headphone is very picky when it comes to ear pads and finding ones that matched the sound of the headphone was quite a time intensive task. Too acoustically transparent and the sound is very thin; too thick and the sound gets muddy. Besides the new ear pads, the headphone also comes with a brand new cable that is both 3,5 and 6,3mm! For the selection of ear pads, the wearing comfort as well as a minimum (negative) impact on the sound quality / characteristics are the most important aspects. The selection of matching ear pads for a wide variety of different models is a very time- and cost intensive task and should absolutely not be underestimated when it comes to restoring headphones. The correct set of ear pads is responsible for half of the entire acoustic performance. 4. In which cases will I use original parts? Depending on the type of issue / replacement, availability and economic sustainability I will decide for or against the use of original parts. Often their cost is completely unreasonable compared to the total selling price of the headphone and I would need to ask for double the price for some products. Most of the time I will use high quality third-party parts or custom manufactured spare parts for repair and restoration, which also results in a high quality final product. If something doesnt meet my quality standards, it will not be offered for sale. 5. Who is responsible for the return shipping cost? In case of technical problems or transport damage the seller (me) is responsible for the shipping cost. A lot of issues can possibly also be fixed without the need to return it for repair. Casque de studio fermé, très détaillé, léger et confortable.Le son est tout aussi excellent en écoute hifi et jen ai essayé et possédé beaucoup!Niveau son je le situe entre le HD 540 Reference et le HD 560 Ovation dont il est finalement assez proche.Les mousses sont des originales et sont neuves. Les coussinets sont également dorigine et en bon état mais ont un peu perdu de leur rigidité.

The HD-250 Linear are sisters of the HD-540 Reference with a close back construction, intended primarily for professional studio use. Compared to the HD-540, they have better resolution, emphasis and detail. I completed these headphones for my use from original spare parts for one reason: this is the purest way to achieve the original great sound. Essentials parts are new ones.I have not seen this model for sale in this condition. Also for headphones that look like new and never used are inner foams always disintegrated after years and few dare to replace them - it is a risky operation with the risk of destroying the driver. With decayed foams, the sound is fundamentally different.I am a vintage Sennheiser headphone enthusiast and have spent a lot of time studying hundreds of pages of internet discussions dedicated to their restoration and modding. Based on this experience, I have refurbished a lot of headphones and also few of the legendary and still sought after HD-250 Linear headphones (Sennheisers flagship studio headphones from 1985-2000). I really like the fact that they are now on the heels of the current much more expensive Sennheiser models, even the HD-800, in terms of sound quality. Acoustic instruments sound much more natural in these vintage headphones. Im downsizing my collection and selling the HD-250 Linear II (300 Ohm, early Germany production - silver rings around drivers, NO IRELAND). Sound great with the proper pads. The current pads on these headphones are cheap chinese ones which do not seal well which makes them sound bad. I bought them anyhow so I will include them but please keep in mind that for proper use you will definitely need different pads. I used them with dt 770 pro pads for a while which sounded a lot better.
