This is one of the few closed back headphones Sennheiser made in the past and certainly also one of the best! It comes with a somewhat v-shaped sound and a big soundstage for a closed back. The bass is very punchy and dry without becoming muddy. The overall resolution of the headphone is also very good. The ear pads are brand new and fit the headphones even better than the original ones. The cable is also brand new! Otherwise the headphone shows only small signs of use. It is also important to note that it does not have any driver issues such as rattling or imbalances, which are very common with the HD250 models. Dies ist einer der wenigen geschlossenen Kopfhörer, die Sennheiser in der Vergangenheit hergestellt hat, und dazu noch einer der besten! Der Kopfhörer ist leicht v-förmig abgestimmt und bietet für einen geschlossenen Kopfhörer eine große Klangbühne. Der Bass ist sehr kraftvoll und „trocken“, ohne dabei den Rest der Frequenzen zu übertönen. Die Gesamtauflösung des Kopfhörers ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Die Ohrpolster sind brandneu und passen sogar noch besser als die originalen. Das Kabel ist ebenfalls brandneu! Ansonsten zeigt der Kopfhörer nur geringe Gebrauchsspuren. It is overall in great shape and I also didnt find any issues with the drivers as well. The headphone is very picky when it comes to ear pads and finding ones that matched the sound of the headphone was quite a time intensive task. Too acoustically transparent and the sound is very thin; too thick and the sound gets muddy. Besides the new ear pads, the headphone also comes with a brand new cable that is both 3,5 and 6,3mm! Les coussinets sont également dorigine et en bon état mais ont un peu perdu de leur rigidité.

Compared to the HD-540, they have better resolution, emphasis and detail. I completed these headphones for my use from original spare parts for one reason: this is the purest way to achieve the original great sound. Essentials parts are new ones.I have not seen this model for sale in this condition. Also for headphones that look like new and never used are inner foams always disintegrated after years and few dare to replace them - it is a risky operation with the risk of destroying the driver. With decayed foams, the sound is fundamentally different.I am a vintage Sennheiser headphone enthusiast and have spent a lot of time studying hundreds of pages of internet discussions dedicated to their restoration and modding. Based on this experience, I have refurbished a lot of headphones and also few of the legendary and still sought after HD-250 Linear headphones (Sennheisers flagship studio headphones from 1985-2000). I really like the fact that they are now on the heels of the current much more expensive Sennheiser models, even the HD-800, in terms of sound quality. Acoustic instruments sound much more natural in these vintage headphones. Im downsizing my collection and selling the HD-250 Linear II (300 Ohm, early Germany production - silver rings around drivers, NO IRELAND).
