I used this unit as both a Headphone amplifier and as a Pre-amp to drive Peachtree M25 powered speakers (listed on Ebay also). impedance friendly. I used Sennheiser 560s. I am including as a bonus the interconnects to connect the Valhalla 2 to the Powered speakers. With headphones plugged in, Pre-amp output is disabled. Pull out the Headphones, the Pre-amp is active. Unfortunately, I do not have the original packing material-thought it was the last amp I would ever buy. You know how that goes!. So, knocking a few bucks off the asking price. Equipment has been in faithful service for many years. As you can see from the photos it is currently still in use sitting on top of the Bifrost DAC. This headphone amp has driven my HD800s very nicely using the 1/4 standard headphone jack. This is setup for 115v power with a US based plug. The only quirk with a amp this age is occasionally the left channel cuts out but by bumping up the volume knob immediately restores the left channel to full output. If you can live with this quirk it is an awesome price for an amp. You will also receive an extra set of tubes I have in addition to the ones already installed in the Amp.
