PLEASE READ Schiit Modi 3 DAC Digital Analog Converter. I purchased this new from Schiit three years ago. I absolutely loved it from day one and still do to this listing date. The unit works fine and sound amazing. However the unit needs to be kept on at all times. If it is shut off it will need to be heated up in order to communicate with any streaming device such as what I use, a desktop computer. If you do not heat it up and can take hours to load and work. Other than that a small white scuff on the top that is shown in pictures. When connected it works and sounds as new. Again will need to be heated if disconnected. If left on constantly and never loses a signal or connection. I use a blow dryer and it comes on/ communicates within one minute. Comparing my Modi 3 against my new Modi + doing a A/B test the Modi 3 wins hand down for my ears. do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers

Schiit Audio MODI 3+ Silver DAC D/A Converter - Used Once / Perfect Cond. in Box I dont remember exactly when this one was released but at the time I bought it to try it out against a couple of other DACs. I was gonna return it since it wasnt the winner (to be fair the other ones were way more expensive), but forgot about it and realized too late that the return window had closed. It has never been used in any other way. It has been sitting in its box since and is in perfect condition cosmetically and works perfectly. Comes with a USB micro to standard USB cable and a wall plug to it (should you need to power it that way). Did not come with any manual or anything else - there is an online PDF manual. I cannot seem to find the complete specifications of this DAC, except for here on eBay in another listing but Id prefer a more official source. What I do know is that it uses a AK4490 chip, and that the + in the model number compared to the previous one is cause it has Schiits Unison USB technology, previously only available on more expensive DACs. Selling my used Schiit Magni 3+ headphone amplifier and Modi 3 DAC. They are both in good functioning and cosmetic condition. The Magni has some light scratches on the top plate shown in the photos. Comes with Magni power supply, amazon basics RCA cable, micro usb to usb-c cable for modi, micro usb to USB a cable and modi power supply (if not connecting to computer), and original box for the Magni (I don’t have the one for the modi unfortunately).
