For sale are the following items: -Sanyo FWDV225F DVD VCR Combo-Composite / RCA Cables FLAW - It does not record sound when recording to a VHS tape. The VCR operation is generally a bit noisy with minor squeaks and clicks. Otherwise, the item has been tested and works well. The item has minor wear and tear throughout it. The item was tested and confirmed working for all basic functions on both the DVD player and VCR components; play, rewind, fast-forward, stop, pause, eject, and power. Recording on the VCR with VHS tapes was tested and works for VIDEO only; sound does not record. The line in 1 composite input works well. I could not change the input and could not test line in 2 composite input. The line out composite output works well. I did not test any other inputs / outputs.

You are looking at a listing for a Sanyo FWDV225F DVD Player / VCR combination unit. It is sold in NOT WORKING condition. The unit is in good physical shape except for some scratches on the front, but the VCR has excessive noise in SLP/EP and LP modes (See listing photos 10 and 11, respectively). SP mode seems to be okay (see picture 12), but the tape sometimes sounds like it is crinkling during operation. The VCR a couple of times during testing has failed to load tapes and shut off. I have not seen any damage to my tapes, but Im thinking these VCR issues could be some sort of alignment problem. VHS recording was not tested. The DVD player has no signs of life whatsoever. Switching to DVD mode results in a blank screen. The DVD eject button does not open the door. No repairs have been attempted with the exception of cleaning the VHS heads (no improvement to picture), and checking over briefly inside and outside the unit for any obvious causes of the problems (I did not find any). The box is in okay shape, with some signs of wear... most notably a small gouge on the bottom. DVD player / VCR combo unit + original box only. Remote, users manual, or any other accessories not included. Note: Due to the problems with this unit, it is sold AS-IS and RETURNS NOT ACCEPTED. Please inspect listing photos carefully.
