It has been called the Amplifier from Hell and scored higher than Cambridge and others It is a well-built unit, with 60wpc supplied by two stk-0059 output modules. These are thickfilm hybrid modules with quiescent current fixed by a set resistor on the driver pcb. I am impressed by the sheer musicality and effortlessness of these vintage units. Even a Sanyo STK amp. In a lot of ways, it sounds way better than my Cambridge audio integrated did. The power supplies are comparable; this one has 8000uF per channel and the C.A. had 8800 per channel. No it doesnt have a toroidal power t-x but it is a healthy size for 60wpc anyways.
