Presented here is a pre-owned Sansui Model 8 AM/FM Stereo Receiver in good functional and clean aesthetic shape (original enclosure cover missing though). This vintage receiver was pulled out from a console cabinet in estate sale but the receiver wooden cover is missing. One owner throughout, this unit of receiver has stayed in the console cabinet for many years. We have conducted some basic run-through blushing off the dust, deoxit all the required pots and switches and this super duper receiver is now ready to serve. While bench checking, I realized how good the sounding of this receiver was. The sound is so intimate that I could listen to music track after track, DJ voice from the FM was so lifelike and pleasing to ears. I listen to vintage stereo often and I know this is a great piece to keep. For full disclosure, be mindful to the following caveats(1) This is the very first version of Sansui 8 in 1971 and there was no speaker relay feature built in. As such, they would be some trace of little noise for a few seconds when the receiver is powered on or off. Speaker on / off switch however could still be used to go around this if required. From audio purist standpoint, some audiophiles prefer it straight through without the add-on of relay protection circuit.(2) The tuner dial-pointer lighting bulb is burnt out(3) A metal case cover is now used to hold the receiver to protect its physical wellness and it is still presentable. Vintage one owner Sansui Model 8 stereo receiver. The Sansui Model 8s are known for their , heavy, solid, and audiophile build quality. This receiver is in excellent cosmetic and great working condition. There are two lamps out in the tuner display. I will include the new lamps I purchased for you to replace them. The cord may not be the original, works fine, but will eventually need to be replaced as it is beginning to get hard. This receiver comes in the original box with original clamshell styrofoam packing. It also comes with the original schematics diagram still located underneath the receiver.

This unit was tested and is working good,the wood case is a little bit damaged please see pics the unit have some light scratches around the light for FM don’t show full FM,the phono-1 and 2 is not full illuminate the numbers is missing some stickers for the bottoms please see pics the power terminal was replaced please see pics what you see is what you are going to get
