A vintage early 1970s Sansui AU 505 amplifier in good condition and in full working order. Physically it is excellent apart from some scratches on the top. It has spent its life inside a cabinet, with a tuner on top which accounts for the scratches. Because it has always lived in a cabinet, there are NO marks to the veneered ends (no damage, no lifiting veneer, no chinks or dings). There are no missing knobs or switches. There is no smell of nicotine. When I took this in it was clear that it had not been used for many years. Because I suspected this I warmed it up slowly over some hours on a current-limiting variable power supply to slowly chemically re-form the capacitors. Once this was done I had to clean all of the switches and potentiometers with deoxit because they were very oxidised. I have not replaced any capacitors or components - they are all original. Because of the age, it may benefit in the future from new capacitors in the power supply as would be recommended for any vintage hi-fi.
