This is a vintage Sansui record player. This player was bought brand new by my Grandparents and has been stored indoors since new. The model number is SR-2050E as shown. From what I can tell, this model is fairly rare and seem to sell for a good bit more than the more common SR-2050C models. I dont know what the difference is but Im sure those in the know do. My grandparents said they used this player a good bit through the 90s and it has been pretty much sitting idle since that time. I tried powering it on and it lights up and I can hear the motor spinning. The turn table does not turn so I imagine it needs a belt at the least. I am listing this for parts/not working so the new buyer can have their perferred shop service it or do the job themselves. If it does not sell fairly quickly than I will look into having it serviced and relist as a working unit. This record player looks to be in good cosmetic condition overall. I simply dusted it off for the pictures so it will likely clean up even better with some effort. The player itself look very nice with a nice turntable surfaces, easy to read labels, and nice chrome plating. All switches move as they should. The plastic top is in good shape with no cracks or breaks and some scratches as shown. I imagine many, if not all, of these scratches will polish out. The wood cabinets is also nice with some light aging and one area on the back corner where it appears someone closed the lid with the prop rod in the incorrect location as shown. The cords appear to be in good shape with one small frayed/nicked area of insulation on the power cord as shown. With a bit of work, this vintage Sansui record player should be up and playing again. Please be advised, I am not an expert in tonearms and other turntable parts. I have not used this. It came from a very large buyout of vintage gear from a local collection. I am more of a tube audio guy and there were thousands of tubes there, but I had to take everything. Hence, offering some of the turntable parts for sale at low Buy It Now prices. This is a Sansui SR-2050C Headshell. It has a Shure M91E Cartridge and aftermarket stylus. The cartridge tests good and so does the stylus. The headshell is in good condition as well.
