The double knife edge has a structure in which the blades of the conventional knife edge are two, but by making it four blades on the top and bottom, it is firmly suppressed from both sides and the top of the edge receiver. Since the four blades of this knife edge are ground so that they are aligned in a straight line, they form a strong rotating shaft with no mechanical play around this line as the rotating shaft. SAEC knife edge blades are ultra-precision with a diameter of 2/100 mm or less. This finish is unique to SAEC. First, it is shaved to 5/100 mm, which is the limit that can be machined, and then it is finished by skilled human hands to 2/100 mm. In WE-506/30, hard ruby is used for the contact part of the bearing, which enhances sensitivity and prevents deterioration over time.
