VINTAGE SAE MARK 1 STEREO PREAMPLIFIER EQUALIZER. This one is tested and working. I will be well packaged and insured. High bidder will own cientific Audio Electronics, began in 1968 with a partnership agreement between Ted Winchester, Morris Kessler and Beth Winchester. With some creative graphics done on a Bishop PC Board they divised the S.A.E. logo and they were off and running. The company 1st brought to market the legendary S.A.E. Mark Two power amplifier that dispite its rather utilitarian appearance, won many fans including a certain Gordon Holt of Sterophile Magazine. In a sea of Marantz, Pioneer and Sansui, the Mark Two stood out. It didnt have the transistor sound commonly associated with these other brands. Its was different, special and otherworldly in a totally unique way.Fast forward to 1975 and the S.A.E. Mark One preamp. With its step attenuator, discreat capacitor array, separate 2 channel EQ settings, output gain selectors & input for (2) turntables, the Mark One became the preamp of choice for the well heeled 70s audiophile set.

Verkauft wird mein SAE Endverstärker mit sehr schönen Holzhehäuse. Es handelt sich um ein absolutes High End Gerät aus den 70er. Damaliger Neupreis betrug 4500 DM ohne dem Holzgehäuse. Gewicht knapp 24kg mit case. Daten finden sich im Netz. Gerät ist für 110 Volt! Habe ihn mit Spannungswandler betrieben. Er funktioniert, bedarf aber sicherlich mal einer Überholung. Verkauf daher grundsätzlich als Teildefekt. Spielt dennoch sehr kraftvoll und klingt super. Beim Ein/Ausschalten der Audio Quelle gibt es Geräusche. Die Beleuchtung der Pegelanzeige funktioniert nicht. Habe ihn nicht geöffnet. Mangels Kenntnis lasse ich die Finger davon :-) Gehäuse habe ich frisch geölt. Bei diesem Gewicht, wäre eine Abholung ratsam. Ich versende allerdings auch mit DHL. Eine bestmögliche Verpackung ist bei mir selbstverständlich. Tierfreier Nichtraucherhaushalt. The attenuator circuit, which often causes problems with older products, is controlled by a switch with a fixed resistor without using a volume control. Naturally, there is no trouble with the generation of buzzing. Someone has described it as an amplifier like a tank. It is an amp that can be used with peace of mind for a long time. I checked each input/output terminal. It is operating normally without any noise. There is a slight paint damage on the top panel.
