Hello! I have a sae component system in my main room and bought this to use in my smaller bedroom setup. When I got it home, I realized the buttons are a little weird. I used it this way for a bit but ended up having a separate preamp and amp leftover to use in my bedroom. So I am selling this as a “for parts” listing, but it does *mostly* work… just with some gremlins and temperamental switches. I will try to explain in detail what works, what doesn’t, and what’s temperamental on it. I’m sure someone who knows the sae 02 gear could easily fix the button issues. The power section runs speakers fine (on the “speaker 2” outputs). *please refer to this YouTube link for a detailed demonstration of the following issues* https://youtu.be/fGENJ12qi5A As far as I can tell all inputs work (phono1, phono2, tuner, aux, tape 1, tape 2) Phono 1 and 2 might be missing a channel but I didn’t check them with an actual record player so it might be that I wasn’t using a grounded/phono rca style setup (just had an iPod connected with standard rca’s). Speaker 2 powered outputs works while speaker 1 outputs do not appear to work. So only one set of speaker outputs work. Could be another simple relay/switch issue. Getting speaker 2 to turn on and engage is weird and intermittent. And it seems to need to be on phono 2 in order to initially turn “Speaker 2” on for whatever reason. Volume works normally but the led numbers are missing a line. Mute works fine (but I noticed the led stays lit after engaging it) Balance works fine. Low filter works fine. Program works fine Tape/line and output selection works fine Treble and bass work fine. Tone memory works fine Tape 1 and tape 2 work but are a little intermittent and the leds don’t always light. Copy buttons are intermittent. EXT PROS buttons work fine Mono button works fine. stereo reverse button works but led doesn’t light up. Standby switch works but doesn’t turn on red led and 3 other leds stay lit when in standby mode for whatever reason.
