The working condition: it power up, but I tried CD, DVD and bluray, non of them would play. It takes the media, it says Reading and in about 30-40 seconds the tray opends, it would not read. I do not have any SACD to try, but as far as I understand it should be able to ready CDs and DVDs. I connected it to a TV via Video out, it shows the unit on the TV. The remote seems to work, at least whatever I have tried. The remote is in excellent condition as well. The unit is offered as is for parts or repair only. Selling my SACD 1000. It is in full working order, and is in very good condition. As you can see in the title, the troublesome MACE and FURORE chips were replaced by the Philips service center in Florida for the updated versions which will function as expected for the life of the player, they also replaced the transport to ensure trouble free operation.This player is an over built statement piece from Philips, and was the first multi-channel SACD player on the market. It was designed to compete with the top shelf Sony and Marantz SACD players of the day, and in my opinion it compares very favorably.The only reason I am selling it, is because I sold off my disc collection some time ago now, and it has just been sitting in storage. It deserves to be used and enjoyed by somebody who will appreciate it.It is also a fully functioning DVD player, but who cares about that really... Anyone interested in this will be buying it for its audio capabilities.I will ship it double boxed to make certain it arrives safely to its new owner. Its quite heavy (around 25 pounds double boxed), so shipping will be expensive.

Philips SACD 1000 Super Audio CD Player With Box Like new cosmetic condition.  Looks like it was never used.  Player turns on & cd drawer opens.  The push open/close button does not work.  When the CD drawer is manually pushed in it pops back out.  To close drawer the player has to be turned off.  Light humming sound & it sounds like it wants to close.
