Bose Lifestyle 48 5.1 DVD Home Theater Speaker System & SA2 2nd Room Amp ITEM DETAILSThis Lifestyle 48 system is most likely what you would call the Series I, as opposed to the later series numbers Includes two remotes, one of which is the Personal Music Center II expansion remote used for the SA2 second room amp There are five small silver double-cube speakers, two of which have wall mounts, three of which have no mounts. The subwoofer is an LSPS powered unitFive speaker cables are included, two of which are shorter than the othersThe subwoofer links to the AV48 Media Center using an included Bose cable, and the AV48 links to the SA2 amp via another BoseLink A cable.The AV48 DVD / CD player has RCA stereo AV composite and S-Video inputs, plus digital optical and digital coaxial audio portsAn AM and FM antenna are includedA Bose AdaptiQ calibration accessory is includedSeveral manuals are includedThere are AC power cables for the sub and the SA2, plus the original Bose 33v power adapter for the AV48.The SA2 is a second room amp designed to power an additional system in a different room. It includes the necessary BoseLink A cable to chain it to the AV48 unit as well as the PMCII remote control that allows you to assign and control an audio source to the SA2 from the AV48.The SA2 includes two removable wiring terminal blocks, one of which is used to attach speaker wiring, the other is used to wire in a volume control such as a wall-mount unit (not included).There is also a Software Update disc for the AV48 unit.The AV48 has uMusic capability which allows you to rip audio CDs to the units internal storage. Supposedly the unit has storage for up to 340 hours of audio built-in. There is a good deal of music already saved to the internal storage on this unit.The AV48s composite output can also be set up as a component output. You make this configuration in the menus via your TV screen and the main remote. Currently it is configured to output in NTSC composite. CONDITION NOTES Tested and working (the DVD player plays movies and CDs, the video output works, all the speakers and the sub work, the remotes both work, the SA2 amp works, the uMusic playback works).The sub has some scuff marks on the exterior and has some sticky marks underneath from feet that arent there anymore.The various components all have some scuffs, scratches, and marks. Some of the speaker mounts are discolored.Only 2 speakers have wall mounts, the others have no mounts.The included speaker cables work fine but they are somewhat dirty from mostly floor use.The cabled remote sensor and its cord are somewhat sticky from being taped in place somewhere.A couple of the silver speaker grilles are a little dinged up.The expansion controller remote is sunfaded on the top side, probably from sitting in a sunny place like a window ledge.Both remotes are a little spotty and schmutzy from heavy use and handling, however both are tested and working. The SA2 expansion amp has a small paint splotch on its exterior.The uMusic internal storage has a bunch of music tracks stored to it. PLEASE NOTE: It is quite possible that this will require shipping in two separate boxes. However, the shipping rate you are being charged at checkout will not change if a second box is required.
