This is an SA-600 from 1978 it is working just fine, I HAVE LISTED IT AS PARTS/NOT WORKING BECAUSE IT IS MISSING THE TOP 3 PCS OF THE CABINET. Yeah, not good, UPS drop it off on the step in a rain storm. The cabinet got wet, well soaked actually. I was surprised it was still working. I sent what was left of the cabinet to a cabinet maker to copy, but who went out of business during COVID. As I am retiring, trying to move all the units I can , if someone has a non working 600, this is perfect. I am losing my butt on this. But I am a firm believer in keeping vintage in play. Sold AS IS, no warranty implied , Fed Ex for lower 48. It weight 22lbs 10 oz as sits. .any questions , message me 07/16/24. The unit was hooked up to a set of Infinity speakers, both channels worked with no problem. Aux and one tape monitor. AS IS USUAL WITH 1978-80 MODEL TECHNICS, THE POTS NEED A VERY INTENSE CLEANING. THIS IS NORMAL FOR TECHNICS. THE SAFTY KIGHT IS ON , THIS MEAN THERE IS A GROUND PROBLEM, I BELIEVE THIS HAS TO DO WITH THE METAL BRAKETS ON THE CABINET, THEY ACT AS A GROUND. all pin LED are working, the selector as well as the power meter. The Display bulbs are out. They will need to be replaced, a working SA 600 start at 450 dollars. 125 is the price. .

Built like a tank and sounds incredible with tons of power. Fantastic bass! Controls cleaned and working nice and static free. Fantastic AM/FM reception. All sections work as they should. THE ONLY issue this unit has is a *slight* hum in one channel- volume control and any source does NOT affect the level of the hum. Its only audible when nothing is being played. It does *NOT* increase with volume. It is also present in headphones on both main and remote speaker setting. If you have any questions about this for troubleshooting before purchase, feel free to ask. I want to be absolutely transparent and accurate before you decide to purchase or repair. Its likely a cap, power filter or ground maybe? Either way, likely a simple repair. Unit seems to be easy-ish to work on for what its worth.
