Please see photos. This is a used EPA-100 tonearm. The arm locking plastic rest spot has been replaced due to the old one breaking off. Everything else is original and appears to work. Amplifier Excellence The SA-GX910 is equipped with one of the best New Class A amplifiers featuring the famed Synchro Bias, popular in many Technics amplifiers, from receivers to separate power amplifiers since 1983. This amplifier technology offers superior sound quality compared to the rather hollow sounding Class H+ amplifiers that were introduced shortly after, once Technics began cost-cutting. These changes ultimately led to the brands temporary demise before its resurgence in 2016 after many hard lessons learned. Compared to newer generation Technics receivers of the 90s and early 2000s before the brands demise, the sound quality of the SA-GX910 seriously outperformed them all, even outperformed the SA-TX50, SA-AX6/7, SA-TX1010, and SA-DA20 when seeking for an upgrade. Phono Preamp Quality This receiver also boasts a very decent sounding and well-built phono preamp that stands out from others of the same period. The Technics SA-GX910 did not compromise on its phono preamp, ensuring excellent sound for vinyl enthusiasts. Condition and Extras The condition is very decent for its age, with barely noticeable blemishes on the front faceplate and some minor scratches on the sides from being in a stereo cabinet. There is a tiny, barely noticeable dent in the rear right top corner of the case cover. All in all, the condition is rated an A-, especially for wear and tear on a receiver this vintage. It still practically looks new and grabs attention with the mesmerizing parametric EQ display. Terms and Conditions Due to the nature of electronics, this receiver is being sold as-is, although I guarantee it will not be DOA. It will be packaged very cautiously and carefully to ensure safe delivery. Shipping Cost: Due to the heavy weight and careful packaging required, the shipping cost will be on the higher side. Packaging Details: The remotes will be carefully packaged, and I will pull off the volume and tuning knobs and wrap them in a bubble wrap package along with the remotes. Why, you might ask? Well both knobs have excess protrusion, and this extra step is to better protect the front faceplate and to prevent potential shipping damage to the faceplate and internal faceplate board if the shipper is careless. I had this happen to me with a Philips receiver I purchased years ago where it was banged on the front and the impact to the volume control broke the holder nut, causing the volume board inside the receiver to be severely damaged, rendering it DOA, so I understand how these things can go. You will just need to put the volume and tuning knobs back on the receiver after unpackaging it. No screws or torx tools required. Included Items: The sale includes both remotes and the power cord. Overview The universal tone arm was developed to address the major issue of low-frequency resonance damping in pickup systems. The variable dynamic damping mechanism is capable of properly damping low-frequency resonances of both high and low compliance types, bringing out the full potential of the cartridge. The main weight is split and supported by a spring on one side, and floats on the other side by the attractive force between two magnets placed opposite each other at the rear of the weight and the damping selector. The resonance of the weight is damped by viscous silicon oil and a damping cylinder, effectively damping the resonance of the entire pickup system and successfully reducing resonance to less than half that of conventional systems. The resonance frequency of the main weight can be adjusted with the damping selector at the rear of the main weight according to the cartridge compliance, and the amount of braking can be set to an appropriate value. The arm pipe, 9.5 mm in outer diameter and 0.5 mm thick, is made of titanium nitride pipe arm, which is made of lightweight and mechanically strong titanium that has been further hardened by nitrogen. The tone arms support structure is made of titanium nitride pipe. Both the horizontal and vertical rotation sections of the tone arm are supported by a gimbal suspension system that uses bearings with high-precision pivot bearings manufactured in-house. The horizontal and vertical rotation axes intersect at a single point, minimizing differences in initial sensitivity and sensitivity in all rotation directions. Rubies, whose coefficient of friction is about 1/3 that of steel, are super-finished into balls with a sphericity of ±0.5?m, and 20 rubies are used.Combined with the gimbal suspension system, it achieves a high initial sensitivity of 5mg.
