It was plugged and lights up and all of the channels changing work well and easy. Not sure about the rest of it so we would say parts only to be safe nothing rattling around when you turn it upside down looks clean from the outside we did not remove the cover to check on anything inside. The screws do not look like they where tempered with (not open) Please see pictures This unit is heavy We where told it worked however we do not have speakers to operate this unit. This is a really awesome unit. Ive had a couple of higher end Pioneers and this Yamaha has by far been my favorite system.Ive ran both Bose and Pioneer speakers and a klipsch sub. Sound is amazing! If we were not downsizing I would not be selling and I still might change my mind in a few weeks. Remote is NOT included but I believe you can get an upgraded one on Amazon for about 20.00 or the originals on eBay for about the same. The great things with this unit is that you can operate most controls without a remote.
