This is a Monitor Audio RSW12 12 500 watt Powered Subwoofer. This subwoofer is being sold as-is. When plugged in, it makes a low humming noise, but otherwise works fine. This is a common problem with these subwoofers and it will need a new transistor or capacitor to fix. I am selling it as-is in hopes that someone can fix it or use it for parts. Looking at the subwoofer, there are some marks and tiny dings around the edges in a few spots, but overall it looks quite nice. It measures Approx - 13.5 wide x 14 tall x 16.5 deep. It is quite heavy being around 75lbs. Sorry, no returns will be accepted because of its condition.

Up for auction is a HIGH QUALITY powered subwoofer by KLIPSCH. RSW 12. Very good to great OVERALL cosmetic condition - a few scratches, discoloration and nicks in the wood (see pictures). The metal toggle for LOWPASS ENABLE and DISABLE has broken off (see the last picture). The system will not work unless something is touching the internal piece left in the hole (metal seems to be the best). This is probably an easy fix for someone with knowledge. I am no expert on high end speakers. Honestly, I dont even know what these toggles do. The speaker sound is fantastic. Even at a low volume my doors are vibrating. This is a VERY heavy item - no returns unless I have described it incorrectly. So please use your knowledge before purchasing it. Please research this item to make sure it will meet your needs. Items can be classified as: New - New and unopened (item may have shelf wear). Opened box - Contents are new in an opened box (may have been removed). Mint - Used item but everything looks new. Important note: this item has 2 flaws that should be considered before purchasing. 1) There is a shallow scratch in the wood on the top of the box, shown in the pictures. This could be filled with a furniture touch-up stick from any hardware store and would blend in fine, but I didn’t want to alter it any more before listing 2) The unit has an intermittent, low volume buzz/hum which tends to go away after about 20-30 min of use. My research suggests a quick capacitor replacement would solve this issue, and there are instructions online for performing this repair. Because of these, this item is being sold as-is, but for anyone who is familiar with Monitor Audio you know the potential this sub has to completely revive your stereo music or surround setup. Originally used as part of a Monitor Audio RS surround system with RS6 front channels, this sub provides musical and incredibly responsive bass. And if you already have a set of Monitor Audio speakers in Walnut, this will match them perfectly. Quote from ‘What Hi-Fi?’s review when it was released: “Beautifully finished in real-wood veneer, it's one of the most compact subs out there, but don't let those diminutive dimensions fool you. The Monitor Audio might be small, but it hits hard, courtesy of its stiff, heavy, sealed-box cabinet, long-throw magnesium/aluminium drive unit and spectacular power: 500 watts is claimed, and it certainly sounds like it.”
